This picture was taken during the Golden Cup, 2007. Golden Cup was a name SPREAD chose to call Cup of Excellence (www.cupofexcellence.org) during the trial in 2007.
Emma Claudine (The woman in red) a journalist from Radio Salus interviewed different stakeholders among them farmers, cuppers, judges, buyers, participants, government officials.
The woman being interviewed on the picture is Gemima Mukashyaka. She is a farmer, a genocide surviver and also a single mother. She participated to the competition by supplying her coffee to a coffee cooperative that is called Abahuzamugambi ba Maraba that she is a member. This cooperative won the Golden Cup.
