Mokvi Gospels (Q-902), 1300. 30 x 23.5 cm. Written on a parchment in nuskhuri script in two columns. The manuscript was commissioned in 1300 by Daniel, Bishop of Mokvi, and donated to the Mokvi church of the Virgin. The manuscript was executed by the master Eprem and is adorned with the canon tables, headpieces, initial letters and 157 miniatures. The manuscript is lavishly illustrated. Some of the illuminations are painted on whole folio, others are small with borders, and they follow the Gospel text. Miniatures of the Mokvi Gospels are painted on gold, which is a unique case.
