Following the 1967 War, many agencies cooperated with assisting UNRWA to cope with the sheer mass of second-time refugees and newly displaced Palestinians to east Jordan. The Norwegian Refugee Council, for example, donated four semi-mobile maternal and child health care units. These were operated by teams provided by Save the Children Fund (Norway), the Jordanian Red Crescent Society, Save the Children Fund (Britain) and the Lutheran World Federation. In this picture a doctor is examining a Bedouin child in a Lutheran World Federation mobile clinic in a Jordan Valley emergency camp.
