There is a great deal of valuable geographic and ethnographic data in Journey to Jerusalem, by M.K. Radziwill the Orphan (1549-1616), a state and cultural activist of the GDL. Written in Polish, translated into Latin for printing, the book was very popular, and reprinted in seven Polish editions during the XVIIth and XVIIIth C., and four times in Latin.
