This is a book discussing Yemenite agriculture. It consists of an introduction and 26 chapters. The author extracted his material from several sources, the main source being a book written by his father titled [al-’I–Šrah f£ ‘Ilm al-’ImŠrah]. He also depended upon his grandfather’s book [Mil al-MilŠah f£ Ma‘rifat al-FilŠah], in addition to two other sources: [al-FilŠah al-Naba—iyyah] and [al-FilŠah al-Ršmiyyah]. This book studies the qualities of the Arabian soils, the fertile and non-fertile lands, also it studies irrigation, seasons of agriculture, plantation of trees, plant diseases and their remedies and finally grain storage. [al-’Af‹al] finished his book around 773H. The copy is written in modern [Nas¢] script in 1392H.
