Rural Telecenter Development Guide

The Guide to support the development of community telecenters in rural Brazil will be based in the UNESCO publication "The Community Telecentre Cookbook for Africa" by Mike Jensen and Anriette Esterhuysen. The UNESCO "Policy Guidelines for the Development and Promotion of Governmental Public Domain Information" have been prepared following an extensive review by concerned coordinating bodies in Member States and by a panel of experts. This publication was prepared in response to 29 C/Resolution 28 of the UNESCO General Conference and closely corresponds to measures foreseen in UNESCO's "Recommendation concerning the Promotion and Use of Multilingualism and Universal Access to Cyberspace" and the Plan of Action of the World Summit on the Information Society.
